Notes:

Travel plans and work schedules are not acceptable reasons for rescheduling the final examination. You will have 2.5 hours for the examination. Books and notes are allowed. You will have the question(s) ahead of time.
Those of you who elect a lesson plan must meet with me early in the semester to map out assignments to be submitted on the due dates for the term paper stages above. Your first submission should include a schedule of assignments based on the model on my ENGL 305 website. Use the due dates on the calendar above. You should also submit a 2-page paper in which you identify a play and discuss your intended approaches to teaching it. A lesson plan is not a parachute or a way around dealing with criticism. Do not elect it for those reasons. Do not elect it unless you are either a certified teacher already or a current M.A.T.-English student.
* If you are reporting on Clemen's text, be sure to chart image patterns in Hamlet.
Here are equivalencies for lesson planners:
- Paper proposal: Lesson plan proposal (at least 2 full pages). Read your play before turning in this assignment.
- New Critical paper: Objectives/goals, short calendar, writing exercises, quizzes, a final test, PowerPoint, and any other handouts.
- Annotated bibliography: Annotated bibliography. Four sections: three content + pedagogy. You should ideally have five sources per section.
- Outline: Critical introduction (10 full pages minimum; if you discuss pedagogical sources, which you should, your CI will be in the 15-page range). You should submit your CI to turnitin.com. (You do not need to resubmit the document to turnitin.com at the end of the semester.)
- Full draft of research paper: Long calendar (includes research).
- Final draft and abstract: The complete revised lesson plan in a ring notebook.
