The first induction ceremony of the recently reviewed Gamma of South Carolina chapter of Pi Gamma Mu was held at Winthrop University, December 2, 2005.

The chapter welcome 53 new student member to the society. An honouray membership was given to our guest speaker, the higest ranking social scientist on the Winthrop Campus, President Dr. Anthony J. DiGiorgio.

The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Karen Kedrowski (Chair, Political Science) who was tasked with rejuvenating the chapter. Additional faculty in attendence included, Professors Aradas (History), Dezendorf (Social Work) and Storie (Geography).

Futhermore a previous lifetime member, Dr. Jennifer Disney (Political Science) was welcomed into our chapter.

We are anticipating a vibrant and exciting year to come for our members here at WInthrop.
