| | I
started my career as an Accountant with Arthur Young & Company in
Louisville, Kentucky in 1978. I spent 5 year with the Louisville, Kentucky
office as
an auditor before moving on to Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky as
Controller. From there, I returned to Arthur Young & Company in Kansas
City, Missouri as a health care consultant. I left Arthur Young to return
to school to earn my masters and Ph.D. degrees. Upon graduation from
Indiana University with my Ph.D. degree in 1992, I joined Florida Atlantic
University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I moved to Florida Tech in 1999 as
an Associate Professor and took over as Associate Dean in 2001. Most recently
I moved to Rock Hill to serve as Chair of the Accounting, Finance & Economics
Department effective August 2007.
My
career objectives are to be the best teacher and the best researcher I can be.
My research areas mostly center around the financial market's reaction and use
of accounting information and gender effects.
