• FEMF Volume 1 is available on the EMF label...

Residual was realized at the Hiller Computer Music Studios at the University at Buffalo.

FEMF is now into its second decade of service to the profession and is directed by composer James Paul Sain.
VoiceWall, for stereo digital media is included on the Society of Composers, Inc. Student Chapter CD, Volume 1 from the University of Florida. I was the founding president of the student chapter at the University of Florida and I am delighted that the chapter continues to thrive.

VoiceWall was realized at the University of Florida Electroacoustic Music Studios when I was a graduate student there in the early 1990's.

SOFTWARE AND PAPERS:

The links below provide access to MaxMSP programs I have developed and to a paper I presented at the Electronic Music Midwest Festival and the SPARK Festival on my work in spectral accumulation and spectral evaporation techniques.

Spec~ is a MaxMSP patch I wrote for real-time spectral attenuation-based spectral accumulation, evaporation, and resynthesis. To try it out you will need stuffit expander, MaxMSP or MaxMSP Play, and a basic understanding of spectral filtering. Spec~ works with MaxMSP running on Macintosh OSX. Click on the Spectral Accumulation and Evaporation banner above to download Spec~.

Feel free to use Spec~ in your work. All I ask is that you acknowledge any use, partial or whole, in program notes (if you use it to make a piece) or footnotes/biblography for any publication citation. If you use it to help create a piece, let me know, I'd love to hear it!
GRANX~ is a MaxMSP patch I wrote for real-time granular sampling. To try it out you will need stuffit expander, MaxMSP or MaxMSP Play, and a basic understanding of granular sampling. GRANX~ works with MaxMSP running on Macintosh OSX.

Feel free to use GRANX~ in your work. All I ask is that you acknowledge any use, partial or whole, in program notes (if you use it to make a piece) or footnotes/biblography for any publication citation. If you use it to help create a piece, let me know, I'd love to hear it!
