An Abstract Artist's Dream

by Robert Mauro

Her asymmetrical crip body, like the earth:
undulating, round lush hills and fertile
plains. And her ardent crip lover? Angular.
A rocky crag, jutting up, pressing tighter in
close beside her. She bloomed like poppies
in an open field, covering all of him,
her mossy fingers entering every crevasse
of his skin. He thrusting up hard, a grin,
merging with her loamy landscape. They
becoming like one vast natural monument
together. An abstract artist's dream.
