Dr. Martin/ Mini-essay #1

Respond to the following quote in a paragraph length mini-essay (please keep yourself limited to one paragraph).  Make sure to begin with a clear, recognizable thesis statement that is an opinion and makes a claim about what the quote suggests or represents in the novel, Wuthering Heights. Keep in mind that I too have read the novel, but I cannot read your mind.  You should not merely summarize what the quote says but should thoroughly explain what it suggests about the speaker of the quote and also about who the speaker is talking about. In other words, what is the significance of the quote to our understanding of the characters in the novel?  Make sure to identify speaker and subject, and to place quote in context.   Please type your mini-essay, following MLA guidelines.
