For the portfolio, final exam, and final grade, A= 94; A- =91; B+ =88; B=84; B- = 82; C+ =78;
C =75; C- = 72; D=68; F =60.

Average participation and preparation will earn you a C; higher grades go to those who made an effort to make more of a positive contribution to the class. Failure to bring a rough draft for a class workshop lowered your grade for that paper by 8 points.

We had three rounds of required conferences; failure to make an appointment for a conference or to attend it cost you two absences.

Your final grade will be lowered three points for every absence you have beginning with the fourth. At seven absences you will have missed 25% of the course and university policy requires that you receive an F in the course.

You get one bonus point on your overall grade for each surprise quiz you took. You get two bonus points on your overall average for perfect attendance.

If you want your final exam and final grade posted under a code name, you will need to sign a statement on your exam. Otherwise you can retrieve your grade over the Internet following Records & Registration=s regular procedures.
