Foreword

W hen a group with such diversity decides to undertake an adventure such as publishing an online periodical, there are bound to be some snags and even a few disagreements. The finished product is one that plays to each individual’s strength in terms of writing and production.  Each individual took on a topic that he or she felt strongly about – whether it be a piece of fiction, a social commentary, or a mother’s death. Each individual also chose a role in the production which he or she felt confident performing: a web designer, a copy editor, a link checker, or head nag, also known as the general editor.

While taking style into consideration, both rhetorically and visually, each individual was forced to make concessions relating to his or her dream for the greater good of the publication. Moments of thoughtful suggestion, carefully worded criticism, and sheer anticipation for the final product spurred each writer to strive to make this publication the best that it could be.

So, as general editor, I invite you to explore each piece and consider the words of each author. I sincerely hope that you enjoy our publication and that appreciate the amount of work each participant put into making this periodical what it has become.
