Dear Dr. Koster:
For my big project I propose to design a new pledge orientation program for
my fraternity, the Phelta Thi chapter of
Tappa Kegga Bru. I think I can complete this project in the time required.
My topic is to redo our pledge orientation program to meet the needs of our
new pledges. There have been a lot of
changes coming down from nationals and
these have to be seen to. My audience will be my fraternity, new pledges,
and
any males at Winthrop University who might pledge my fraternity.
My objectives are to redo our pledge orientation program so that they know
what nationals wants them to know and
that they will meet Winthrop’s requirements. I will ask the people in my frat for some relevant information and
call
nationals for anything I should know. I will be surveying some of my
fraternity brothers, as well as some of my friends
who are in other
fraternities.
I will talk to my brothers at the next chapter meetings. I know somebody did
a project like this in 465 last year, so I
will see if I can get a copy of that to look at. I will also to talk to the IFC adviser in Student Affairs since he
oversees
IFC things. Then I will write the report, put it in the computer,
finish it, and submit it to you.
Thank you for your consideration of this proposal and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Greg Niedermeyer (handwritten signature in original)
