One of the reasons why I asked you to keep a thinking notebook in this class was to "record and document your practice in developing your critical thinking, reading, and writing skills over the semester and let you think about what you’re learning." In the final three entries for your notebook, I'd like you to do just that.
Here, then, are the topics for the three last entries I'd like to find in your notebooks.
1. Revisit what we said about your FBIs early in the semester. How has consciously working on your thinking processes and strategies made you more aware of your FBIs? Has it helped you find ways to accommodate your FBIs?
2. Tell me how you have changed as a thinker, reader, and writer by keeping this notebook over the semester. What have you learned by practicing your skills outside of class?
3. Tell me how you have changed as a thinker, reader, and writer over the duration of this course. How are you different now than you were in January? What do you think you will take away from this course into the rest of your college career (and even into your everyday life) from working on your critical skills?
