About the Journal

The Journal of Political Science is a professional journal published annually by the South Carolina Political Science Association.  The Journal publishes on all topics of interest to political scientists, across all specializations and methodological approaches, although some preference is given to work on Southern and South Carolina politics.  The Journal is distributed to all members of the Association, to other individual scholars, and to over two hundred libraries.  Indexed by ABC-PoliSCI and others, the Journal is published for the Association by the Department of Political Science at the University of South Carolina, Spartanburg.  The current Managing Editor is Professor C. Submission Information

Those interested in submitting manuscripts for review and possible publication are encouraged to do so electronically, although hardcopy submissions are welcome.  All submissions are subject to a double-blind review process, utilizing two reviewers.  Send electronic submissions to the Managing Editor at the Email address above, and hardcopy submissions to the mail address.  Electronic submissions, preferably in Microsoft Word, must include an Abstract of about 100 words and two versions of the manuscript, one with all identifying references removed.  Hardcopy submissions must include an Abstract and three copies of the manuscript, two with all identifying references removed.  Manuscripts should be no longer than 40 pages, including all notes, references, tables, etc; a font size of 11 points is required; and the APSA style manual must be followed.
