Evaluation Paper (ED#1 due __________________)

Choose a subject that you can both evaluate and present with a confident judgment. State your judgment clearly, and back it up with reasons and support. Describe the subject for readers unfamiliar with it, and give readers a context for understanding your subject. Convince your readers that your judgment is informed and based on generally accepted standards for your subject.

You must…

  1. Include research from 3-5 sources which must be from varied media (internet sites must be approved prior to first draft).
  2. Clearly state your thesis statement in the first paragraph (Etzioni does this in the first sentence, p.302)
  3. Include the characteristics of Evaluation in your paper (judgment, values, and support)
  4. Use proper MLA documentation (see your Prentice Hall book for guidance)
