How did you study in high school for the essay questions on your tests?

How are you “studying” for your papers in college?

Suggestions:

·      Read the writing prompt – identify the objective of the assignment (ex. Writing a summary, writing an autobiography, writing an evaluation, writing a proposal)

·      Identify common themes of the prompt and the notes/readings in class

·      Re-read your book for ideas, suggestions, help (Appendix 1)

·      Annotate your paper for the characteristics of the writing style

·      Revise your paper if it doesn’t have the criteria of the assignment

·      Read the writing rubric
