Extra Credit Guidelines
The instructor will assign an extra credit assignment. Extra credit is an opportunity to reward students that conduct themselves in an appropriate manner *, want to improve their grade, complete the extra work by the due date and time, and to remove frustrations regarding scores on the borderline of the next grade. Opportunities for extra credit are awarded solely at the discretion of the instructor and will be announced during class, on the syllabus or on the class website.
*An appropriate manner includes items
listed in the CBA Expectations Regarding Professionalism in the Classroom,
related portions of the Student Conduct Code, and general classroom citizenship.
Violations will affect your ability to receive extra credit points. Example
violations include, but are not limited to: any use of cell phones not
related to class (including texting), distractive talking during class, failing
to address the professor respectfully, unprofessional language, leaving class
without permission, sending rude emails, posting combative discussions online,
sleeping during class, etc.
