Tool or News
At some point during the semester, each student will get 3 to 5 minutes to update the class on something cool.
You have a choice of two topics: describe an IT Tool that you use, or describe a recent News Article.
Another way to think of this assignment is to pretend you work with a bunch of geeks like Dannelly and you need something to talk about around the
water cooler.
- IT Tool
- What do you use it for?
- How widely used is it?
- Strengths and Weaknesses?
- New Article
- Something new from the intersection of IT and Business.
- Examples: Merger or Acquisition, Tech Firm's financial report, IT in Politics, etc.
- Needs to be less than 10 days old. Can be update of someone else's previous topic.
These very short presentations will take place right after the final break of the evening - the beginning of the last session for the night.
For the sake of time, use PowerPoint only if you absolutely positively need to show a picture or tool screen shot.
