Note: "access code" is not the same as "course code". An access code is a 20-digit sequence of letters and numbers that gets you an account on myitlab. The course code ties your account to the appropriate CSCI 101 course.
If you are taking the CSCI 101 Labs A, B, and C, which most students take, then you will also have a different 18-digit access code to take the tests associated with the labs. The 20-digit code from the Tech in Action book is usually printed on cardboard while the 18-digit code for the lab software is usually printed on a credit-card-sized piece of plastic.
Entering the MyITLab Web Site:
If you are accessing the MyITLab web site from home, it is recommended that you
run the installation wizard found on the MyITLab home page.
That application will make sure that you have all the necessary software,
such as Active X, needed to use the web site very quickly.
If you are using a Winthrop computer lab, the machines are already configured. Just click

MyITLab
Finding Material and the Quizzes
Go to the myitlab.com web site and log in.
Click the Course Content tab.
The material is divided up by weeks. So, in the Week One folder is
a little material that is covered on the first day. Inside the
Week Two folder is a bunch of stuff for the second class, including
a graded quiz that is due before the beginning of the 2nd class.
The quizes will pop up in a new window, so hit the browser button to temporarily allow popups.
Problems with Macs
Unfortunately, MyITLab does not like macs. It does like Microsoft Internet Explorer. So, Mac
users will have to go to a Winthrop computer lab, access the MyITLab web site using the
instructions above, and then print the Quizzes. Just hand them in at the beginning of class.
