Assignment: Write a 3-4 page critique of one of the readings from WRAC listed below. Append a Work/s Cited page to the critique.

Due Dates: Tuesday, September 22 Rough draft due in class for Peer Review
Thursday, September 24 Final draft due at beginning of class
Additional Details
1. Format critique should be DOUBLE SPACED, using Times New Roman 12 point font ONLY, and 1" margins on all sides. Reconfigure your page setup as necessary.
2. You should critique ONE of the following from the chapter on "Whats Happening at the Mall?"
a. Postrel, "The Mall as Setting for Authentic Life," 469
b. Lewis, "The Mall as Refuge," 472
c. Cohen, "The Mall as Threat to Democratic Values," 484
3. Follow the box on page 6 as well as all of Chapter 2 in WRAC to guide you in writing your critique.
4. Peer Review in preparation for your peer review, you should bring 4 copies of your rough draft to class, 1 for you and 1 for each of the peer editors in your group. Peer Reviews are NOT optional but re REQUIRED. Please see your course policies statement for more details on requirements and penalties.
5. "CUBI" you will be expected to use borrowed information correctly. Refer to the document entitled "The Correct Use of Borrowed Information" in PH as needed.
6. Work/s Cited your Works Cited page is IN ADDITION TO, as opposed to part of, the page requirement for this assignment. Use PH to configure your entry/entries correctly.
7. turnitin.com I will provide two assignments on turnitin.com for the critique, 1 for the rough draft and 1 for the final draft. Submission to the rough draft assignment is optional, but submission to the final draft assignment is required.
8. Borrowed information you are required to borrow from the essay you choose to critique. Outside research is not required for this assignment. You may, however, choose to borrow from other essays on the mall from the chapter. Please limit your "research" to the essays in the chapter.
9. Be sure your essay meets the assigned length and source requirements. Critiques that do not meet the assigned requirements will earn failing grades.
