GROUP PRESENTATION ASSIGNMENT |
| Each group made up using the Kersey Temperament Sorter will be responsible for presenting a section of Our Posthuman Future to the class. Groups and listeners will have responsibilities during these presentations. The required time for this presentation is a MINIMUM of 30 minutes. Groups who wish to earn higher than average grades should plan to fill the entire class period. A PowerPoint presentation is not necessary but you may use one if you wish. |

| Ch. 10 – Zac, Lesley, Brittany, Tega – Tues., March 24 |
| Responsibilities of Groups |
| 1. Provide any helpful contextual information you think is needed for a full understanding of the chapter such as source of chapter epigraphs, word/phrase definitions not provided intertextually by Fukuyama, identifications of authors and works cited by Fukuyama. |
| 2. Analyze Fukuyama’s critical thinking in the chapter/s by using the elements in the circle. Evaluate Fukuyama’s critical thinking in the chapter by using the standards. This portion of the presentation will likely take up the majority of your time. The assignment requires that you use both the circle of elements and the standards of critical thinking. |
| 3. Compile and provide a copy to each class member a list of valid and credible sources, OUTSIDE OF THOSE IN FUKUYAMA, that could be used in further exploration of/writing on the topics in the chapter/s. |
| 4. Assign each member a substantive speaking role in the presentation. Students who do not take a substantive speaking role will earn below average grades for the project. |
| 5. Facilitate discussion through a series of prepared discussion questions. |
| 6. Meet outside class as needed to prepare the presentation |
| 7. Prepare and practice as a group. |
| Responsibilities of Listeners |
| 1. Engage in the presentation by taking notes, asking questions at the appropriate time, and presenting a polite and respectful attitude. |
| 2. Evaluate the presentation by using the standards of critical thinking. |
| 3. Agree by your attendance that inappropriate behavior such as sleeping, doodling, doing other classwork, chatting with neighbors, reading, or being unprepared for the presentation by not having read the assigned material and bringing it to class will not be tolerated. |
