Paper checklist:

Do I

1. Have an opinionated thesis statement?

2. Have opinionated topic sentences at the beginning of each body paragraph?

3. Use the text (our books) in each body paragraph through summary, quotes, or paraphrase?

4. Analyze the textual example to prove the opinionated topic sentence for that paragraph?

5. End with a conclusion that answers the big "so what?"

6. Cite the books and any outside sources (none needed for the short papers) correctly according to MLA documentation guidelines?  See The Correct Use of Borrowed Info on Dr. bickford's website: http://faculty.winthrop.edu/bickfordl
